I’m evaluating Hexnode for Windows device management and wanted to confirm something security-related. Does Hexnode include any keylogger feature? More specifically, can it be used to retrieve users’ passwords from managed Windows devices? I want to make sure the platform is safe and doesn’t expose sensitive credentials.

Hello @ruthg_ ,

Hexnode UEM does not provide a keylogger for Windows devices, and it cannot be used to capture keystrokes or retrieve users’ passwords.

Keylogging and password extraction are intentionally not supported because they introduce serious privacy, security, and compliance risks. Managed devices can be secured and monitored through approved device management controls, but Hexnode UEM does not expose raw user credentials or collect typed passwords.

If your actual requirement is to manage local administrator access securely, a safer approach is to use Hexnode LAPS. It allows IT admins to generate, store, and rotate unique local administrator passwords for Windows devices from a centralized console, without relying on invasive tracking or credential capture.
