Does Hexnode IdP – Hexnode UEM integration need client secret, and client ID?Solved

Hi everyone,

I’m currently in the process of setting up the integration between Hexnode UEM and Hexnode IdP. While navigating through the setup, I was confused if I should add the Client ID and Client Secret.

Do I need to generate and enter these credentials to get the two systems talking to each other? Just want to make sure I don’t break anything during the setup. Thanks in advance!

Hi @raelynn,

You do not need a Client ID or a Client Secret to set up the integration between Hexnode UEM and Hexnode IdP.

Because Hexnode UEM and Hexnode IdP are built together, the application link is already natively configured right out of the box. The ‘Client Secret’ screen you saw in Hexnode UEM is actually only used when you are connecting to a third-party identity provider (like Azure AD or Okta).

Since you are using Hexnode’s native IdP, you just need to add your domain during the integration process.
