Disenroll action stuck in progress for offline devicesSolved

I started disenrollment for two smartphones, but the action has been stuck in progress since yesterday. Both devices are no longer actively checking in; one of them last checked in several weeks ago. Is there a way to remove these devices from Hexnode and free up the licenses if the normal Disenroll action does not complete?

If a device has not checked in for a long time, the Disenroll action may remain in progress because the device is not online to receive and process the command.

In this case, you can use the Mark as Disenroll action to remove the device from active management and free up the license.

Steps:

  1. Login to Hexnode UEM
  2. Navigate to the Manage > Devices

2. Choose the affected device.

3. Click Actions.

4. Choose Mark as Disenroll.

This frees up the license so another device can be enrolled. However, since the device is not communicating with Hexnode, this action does not remotely uninstall the Hexnode agent from the physical device. If the device is still available, uninstall the agent directly from the device.
