Configure MAC address randomization for macOS using HexnodeSolved

I’m trying to manage MAC address randomization / Private Wi-Fi Address settings for macOS devices from Hexnode. I could find options for mobile platforms, but I don’t see a dedicated “MAC Address Randomization” option under macOS policies. Is there a way to configure this for Macs?

Hi @verbnigge,

Hexnode does not currently provide a dedicated macOS policy toggle for MAC address randomization in the standard policy interface.

On macOS, Private Wi-Fi Address behavior is primarily handled by Apple within System Settings > Wi-Fi > Network Settings. Hexnode provides explicit MAC randomization controls for platforms where the required MDM controls are available through the policy UI, such as iOS and Android.

For macOS, a possible workaround is to deploy a valid Apple configuration profile if you already have a .mobileconfig file containing the required Wi-Fi payload settings. This can be uploaded and deployed to Macs using a custom configuration profile in Hexnode.
