I know this sounds silly, but I’ve forgot my local admin credentials on some enrolled Macs at my workplace. I was assigned to change the passwords of some devices and that’s when I hit a brick wall knowing that I’ve forgot the admin credentials. Is there any way I could overcome this?

Hey @eliiza , don’t worry, you have a way around that. Just create a new admin account on the devices from your Hexnode portal, as a temporary admin. Then, you can use its credentials to reset the devices’ password. After you’ve done this, you can delete the temporary admin account after its use.

@eliiza , sure thing. Head over to your Hexnode portal. Go to Manage > Devices and select your devices. Then, go to Actions > Policies & Accounts > Create User Account. While configuring the settings, set the Account Type to Administrator.
