Hey there, I’ve been using hexnode to manage a couple of Apple Tvs. I can add store apps to the inventory, but I can’t deploy them to the devices. I’ve tried both the install application action and the required apps policy. The option to add Store apps doesn’t even show up. I also tried adding store apps to an app group and pushing it via the required apps policy, but they didn’t get installed. Am I missing something?

I don’t think Hexnode provides an option to deploy App Store apps directly. Only Vpp and enterprise apps are supported, as far as I know.

While hexnode doesn’t support deploying store apps directly to Apple tvs, adding them to the inventory can still be useful. For example, if the store app is already installed on the device, you can use single app kiosk policy to lock the apple tv to that app. This is especially helpful when you want the device to run only a specific app continuously.
