Hey everyone! I’m looking to block users from changing trackpad settings on our macOS devices. Is there any way to do this?

Hi @sybylla . Unfortunately, macOS doesn’t allow trackpad settings to be locked individually. This is because Apple doesn’t expose trackpad preferences as a manageable restriction through UEM.
Exactly, @marien . But, @sybylla , as a workaround, you can block access to the System Settings app. By blocklisting System Settings, users won’t be able to modify any system preferences—including trackpad settings.
We ran into the same requirement in our environment. Blocking System Settings worked well for shared and kiosk-style Macs, but for user-assigned devices, it may impact usability, so it’s worth considering the use case.
