Hexnode UEM cannot generate active screen time, app usage duration, or unlock count reports for iOS/iPadOS devices. Apple’s OS-level privacy restrictions prevent MDM solutions from remotely collecting these detailed usage metrics from iPhones and iPads.

These detailed device usage reports are available only for Android endpoints in Hexnode.

As an alternative for iPads, you can monitor network activity and data consumption to get an indirect view of device activity. To use this, deploy a Network Data Usage Management policy to the target iPads, then go to: Reports > Built-in Reports > Usage Insights > Data Usage.

This will not show how long the iPad screen was active or how long each app was open, but it can help you review data consumption trends for managed iPads.

For iPadOS, the closest reporting option available through Hexnode is the Data Usage report, provided the Network Data Usage Management policy is applied. If the requirement is to measure exact active usage time or time spent inside an app, that data cannot be collected remotely through MDM on iPads.
