Apple TV stuck as Default User Device and won’t disenrollSolved

An Apple TV I added to Hexnode is showing up in the device list as “Default User Device.” The device status is blank, and when I click the device name, the page looks like it is loading but then goes to an unavailable/error page. I tried disenrolling it with the Actions in the Manage tab by selcting the check box nxt to the device but its still there. Is there another way to remove this broken Apple TV record from the main device list?

Marked SolutionPending Review

Hello @harold ,

If the Apple TV device record cannot be opened from the main device list, you can remove it using the Disenrollment Pending Devices report instead of the device-level Actions menu.

Try this path:

  1. Go to Reports > Device > Disenrollment pending devices.
  2. Select the affected Apple TV record.
  3. Click Mark as disenrolled.

This is useful when a device record is stuck in an incomplete or pending enrollment/disenrollment state and the individual device page is inaccessible. Once marked as disenrolled from this report, the stale device entry should be removed from the main device list.
