I’m setting up an Android Enterprise tablet in Hexnode as a single-app web kiosk. The goal is simple: users should only see the web app, should not be able to open Android Settings, and should not be able to leave the app using the top bar or bottom navigation bar.
I still need users to connect the tablet to Wi-Fi when needed. I enabled Wi-Fi in the kiosk peripheral settings, but I’m confused about the right combination of settings. At one point the status bar was blocked, and another time I could still see settings options. I also noticed the Hexnode Settings icon/floating option on the kiosk screen.
What is the correct way to allow only Wi-Fi access in Android single-app kiosk while keeping everything else locked down? Also, Remote View was showing a black screen on one Lenovo tablet, so I’d like to know if that’s related to kiosk restrictions.
