Hi @pauel,
For Android APN configurations, confirm that the APN profile includes the carrier-specific MCC and MNC values in addition to the APN name and APN fields.
MCC stands for Mobile Country Code, and MNC stands for Mobile Network Code. These values must match the SIM carrier. If they are missing or incorrect, the device may not recognize the APN profile correctly even if the policy association action is marked as successful in Hexnode.
Recommended steps:
- Edit the Android policy containing the APN configuration.
- Open the APN settings section.
- Enter the correct MCC and MNC values provided by the carrier.
- Save the policy.
- Reapply or sync the policy to the device.
- Test mobile data connectivity on the device.
If the same APN values work when entered manually on a test device, the same values should work when deployed through the Hexnode policy, provided the carrier details are complete.
A successfully applied APN may not always be shown as an editable or visible entry in the device Settings app. In some cases, the Access Point Names screen may remain grayed out or may not display the managed APN profile even though the configuration is active.
The most reliable confirmation is whether the device can connect using the expected cellular network after the APN policy is applied. If connectivity works after adding the MCC and MNC values, the APN configuration has been accepted by the device.
