I accidentally initiated a disenroll action for a managed device and need to stop it before it completes. The device is not currently checking in because it has not been connected to the network yet. Is there a way to reverse or cancel the disenrollment from the Hexnode portal?

Yes @liam_vance . If the disenroll command is still pending, you can cancel it from the device action history.

Go to the device in the Hexnode portal and open its Action History. Look for the Disenroll Device action. If there is an X icon next to that action, select it to cancel the pending disenrollment.

The X icon appears only when the action can still be cancelled. If the device has already received and executed the disenroll command, the action cannot be reversed from the portal and the device would need to be enrolled again.

Does this still work if the device is offline? Mine has not checked in yet because it is not connected to ethernet.

Yes, that is exactly the case where this is useful. If the device is offline and the disenroll action is still queued in the portal, clicking the X cancels the pending command before the device receives it.

Once cancelled, make sure the action history no longer shows the disenroll action as pending before reconnecting the device to the network.
