I have a device that is no longer going to be used and I want to factory reset it from Hexnode and remove it from the console. Should I just use Wipe Device, or do I also need to disenroll it afterward? I want to make sure the device is reset and no longer shown as an active managed device.

Hello @yuudai ,

To factory reset and remove a retired device from Hexnode UEM, use the device actions in this order:

  1. Go to Manage > Devices.
  2. Select the device you want to reset.
  3. Click Actions > Security > Wipe device. This sends a remote wipe command to erase the device and restore it to factory settings.
  4. After the wipe is completed, go to Actions > Device Control > Disenroll device. This removes the device from active MDM management.
  5. To clean up the device entry in the console, click Actions > Mark as disenrolled.
