Our Android devices are enrolled as Android Enterprise Device Owner in Hexnode. Users can open the Play Store app, but it looks empty and doesn’t show any apps to install. I was expecting them to see the normal Play Store or at least the approved apps. Is there a setting I’m missing?

Hi @arthur,

For Android Enterprise – Device Owner devices, users do not get the standard public Google Play Store experience by default. They see the managed Google Play Store, which only displays apps that are approved and assigned through Hexnode.

If the Play Store opens but shows no apps, check the following:

  1. Confirm that the apps are approved in managed Google Play.
  2. Make sure the apps are added to an App Catalog policy or deployed using a Required App policy.
  3. Verify that the policy is associated with the correct device group or devices.
  4. If users need a visible list of approved apps inside Play Store, configure a Play Store layout in Hexnode.

Without approved and assigned apps, the managed Play Store can appear empty even though the Play Store app itself is available on the device.
