New technician not receiving Hexnode compliance alert emailsSolved

Hi everyone. I recently added a new technician in our Hexnode portal, but they are not receiving email notifications when devices go in and out of compliance. Our Super Admin still receives these compliance emails just fine, so the alert system is definitely working.

I assumed that simply creating the technician account with the right role would be enough to trigger these emails. Is there a separate setting I am missing that controls who actually receives these alerts?

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to Hexnode Connect.

You are asking exactly the right question. Creating a technician account grants them portal access and permissions, but it does not automatically subscribe them to email alerts. By default, Hexnode only sends compliance alert emails to the Super Admin.

Email notification recipients are managed separately through Alert Profiles. To ensure your new technician receives these compliance updates, you will need to add them to the correct profile:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Alert Profile.
  2. Open the Default Device Notifications profile and click Edit.
  3. Add your specific technician to the notification list. Alternatively, you can select an entire technician role (which is highly recommended if you have multiple technicians who need the same alerts).
  4. Save the changes.

Once this is configured, the designated technician or role will automatically receive an email the next time a device moves in or out of compliance.

I hope this helps streamline your team’s notifications! Feel free to reach out if you have any more doubts or need further assistance.

Best regards,
George,
