Hi @r_foster,
For iOS apps deployed through a Required App policy, Hexnode checks for available app updates when the device scans in. If an update is available in the App Store and the app record is reflected in the Hexnode app repository, the update is pushed to the device during the next applicable device scan.
For VPP apps synced from Apple Business, you can verify the app record from the Apps tab in Hexnode. Search for the app there and check whether the latest app information is reflected after the VPP app has been updated on Apple’s side.
The Action History message “user is already being prompted” means iOS has already displayed an app installation or update prompt on the device, and the device is waiting for the user to respond. While that prompt is still active, another install/update request for the same app may fail because the device is already handling the prompt.
To recover from this state:
- Ask the device user to respond to the install/update prompt if it is visible.
- If the prompt was dismissed or timed out, retry the app push from Hexnode using Actions > Install Application.
- If the issue repeats, check the VPP license count for the app under Apps > search for the app name, and confirm that enough licenses are available.
Best regards,
Isabel Lora
