Hi everyone. Is there a way to run a report in Hexnode for Windows devices that shows both the BitLocker encryption status and whether the recovery password is available? I can see the encryption status, but I’m trying to identify devices in bulk where the recovery key is listed as N/A.

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to Hexnode Connect.

You can run a bulk report to see if your Windows devices are encrypted, but checking for the recovery key itself cannot currently be done via reports.

To view the general encryption status in bulk:

  1. Go to Reports > Enrolled Devices.
  2. Add the Encryption column to your report view.
  3. Apply a Platform filter and select Windows.

However, Hexnode does not currently provide a bulk report to check for BitLocker recovery key availability or to identify devices where the password is N/A. To view a recovery password, you must check it on an individual basis by navigating to Manage, selecting the specific Windows device, and looking at the Device Summary section.

If the key is missing from the Device Summary, you will need to verify that the BitLocker policy was successfully applied and that the device has communicated with the portal after encrypting.

I hope this clarifies the current reporting capabilities. Feel free to reach out if you have any more doubts or need further assistance.
