Meta AI data sharing to Meta glasses blocked in Android kiosk modeSolved

I’m trying to use Meta AI with Meta glasses on an Android device locked down with Hexnode kiosk mode. The glasses connect and sharing works when the device is not in kiosk mode, but once kiosk is enabled, sharing data from the Meta app gets blocked. I’m trying to allow sharing through either Microsoft Teams or SharePoint. Is this possible in kiosk mode, or does kiosk block this kind of background sharing completely?

Hi @cameron,

Android kiosk mode may block supporting packages or background components that are required for data sharing. The recommended approach is:

  1. Enable kiosk mode.
  2. Try the Meta AI to Meta glasses sharing workflow.
  3. Run Scan Device action.
  4. Add all blocked package bundle IDs to the app inventory. To identify the blocked packages, open the Applications sub-tab and check for Blocked Packages.
  5. Add them as Background Apps in the Android kiosk policy.
  6. Reapply the policy and test again.
  7. Repeat the scan if the workflow reaches a new step and gets blocked again.

This is especially useful for workflows involving companion devices, sharing sheets, Teams, SharePoint, or other background app interactions in Android kiosk mode.
