Hello,
Thanks for reaching out to Hexnode Connect.
This issue typically happens when remnants of the previous Windows MDM enrollment are still present on the device. Uninstalling the Hexnode agent alone may not always remove the old work account or the enrollment-related registry entries, which causes Windows to hold on to the previous enrollment state.
To clear this and successfully re-enroll the device, please follow these steps:
- Remove old accounts: Open Windows Settings and remove any old work or school account associated with the previous enrollment.
- Clear registry entries: Open the Registry Editor and carefully remove any stale entries related to the previous MDM or Hexnode enrollment.
- Restart the device: Reboot your Windows machine to ensure the system drops the old enrollment state.
- Reinstall and enroll: Reinstall the Hexnode agent and attempt the enrollment again.
Once the old work account and stale registry entries are completely cleared, the device should be able to enroll normally without throwing the error.
I hope this helps or resolves your issue. Feel free to reach out if you have any more doubts or need further assistance.
Best regards,
George,
