This behavior typically happens when the console view has not updated after the LAPS policy association or password action completes. If you have already verified that the LAPS policy is successfully associated with the device, here are the two steps to get the password to display:
Refresh the Console View
In most cases, the simplest fix is to manually refresh the device details page in your web browser. Because the password generation and escrow process can take a moment to sync back to the portal, a quick page refresh is usually enough to pull the newly populated credentials into the LAPS password section.
Re-trigger the Policy
If a page refresh still does not display the password, you can force the device to re-process the action:
- Open your associated LAPS policy.
- Click Save again without making any actual changes.
- Allow a few moments for the device action to process.
- Refresh the console page and recheck the password display.
Re-saving the LAPS policy triggers the policy processing over the network again, after which the password should be securely escrowed and available once the action completes.
