How to apply a Samsung Knox license to a Samsung device enrolled in Hexnode?Solved

Hexnode does not automatically detect or assign Samsung Knox licenses purchased through Samsung. Because these licenses are managed directly within the Samsung Knox Admin Portal, you will need to manually apply the license key to your Samsung devices using a Hexnode policy.

Here is how to activate the Knox license on your enrolled device:

1. Sign in to the Samsung Knox Admin Portal.
2. Open the license section and copy the Knox license key associated with your purchase.
3. Switch over to the Hexnode console and go to Policies.
4. Create a new Android policy (or edit an existing one already assigned to the device).
5. Navigate to the Knox Configurations > Knox Service Plugin and click Configure.
6. You will find the Knox License Key field.
7. Paste your copied Knox license key into this field.
8. Save the policy and associate it with the target Samsung device.

Once the policy is pushed, Hexnode securely sends the Knox license key down to the device. The Samsung device will then contact Samsung’s activation servers to validate the license. After it successfully validates, the supported Knox Enterprise features will be unlocked and available for use on that device.
