We bring you an update that will make your Android Enterprise enrollments smoother than ever!
We know how crucial it is to secure the right app permissions during initial device setup. Miss a permission, and essential remote actions or policies might hit a roadblock down the line. Security is our topmost priority.
Specifically, when configuring the Password token permission, the essential tool that allows you to remotely clear a device password—you now have a brand-new, frictionless option in your toolkit.
To try this out, simply navigate to Android Enterprise > Enrollment Profiles, create a new profile or select an existing one, and head down to App Configurations > Password Token. From there, you can choose Auto-enable!
- Auto-enable (NEW!): For devices running Android 9+, this setting automatically grants the permission during enrollment. Zero user interaction required!
- Required: The permission prompt is displayed during setup, and the user must manually enable it to complete the enrollment process.
- Do not prompt: Keep it out of sight. The permission prompt will not appear during enrollment.
