Blank phone number column for eSIM devices on the device details pageSolved

Hi everyone,

We are currently in the middle of a massive telecom overhaul for our sales team. We are transitioning a huge number of devices across iOS and Samsungs to corporate eSIMs to free up the physical SIM slots for the users’ personal use.

The rollout is going smoothly on the device side, but we have run into an administrative headache within the portal. When I navigate to the Manage screen to view our enrolled devices, the Phone Number column is completely blank for almost every single user on this new plan.

Because the corporate line is now provisioned via eSIM, it is technically sitting in the SIM 2 slot, leaving the physical SIM 1 slot empty. Our telecom auditing team relies heavily on that top-level Manage view to quickly verify active lines against our carrier billing. Clicking into each individual device’s Device Info tab just to hunt down the SIM 2 number is incredibly tedious at this scale.

Is there a configuration profile or a portal setting I am missing that forces that column to display the SIM 2 data when SIM 1 is inactive?

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to Hexnode Connect. We understand your problem.

To answer your question directly, you are not missing any hidden settings or configurations. At present, the Phone Number column on the main Manage tab is specifically designed to fetch and display the data from the primary slot, which is SIM 1. Because your corporate eSIMs are occupying the SIM 2 slot and the primary physical slots are empty, the system returns a blank value for that column on the management dashboard.

Hope this clears the air. If you have any further doubts, feel free to reach out.

Best regards,
George
