Hey, quick question, I was remotely controlling a Windows device and started a screen recording during the session. Where does that recording actually get saved?

Hi @monty,

Once you stop the recording, it’s automatically saved as a .webm file in the Downloads folder on your device. You can also access it directly from the Hexnode UEM console under: Manage > Devices > [Your Device] > Remote View / Control > Session Recordings.

Got it, thanks! Do you know if this works when the Windows device is in kiosk mode as well?

Hi @monty,

Remote View & Remote Control won’t work in Single App Kiosk mode. It’s only supported in Multi App Kiosk.

For it to work properly, make sure:

  • The Hexnode Remote Assist app is pinned in the Start layout.
  • Both the Hexnode Agent and Hexnode Remote Assist apps are added as desktop apps in the Multi App Kiosk policy.

Once that’s set, you should be able to use remote sessions and recordings without issues.
