Hi all, I’ve got an Android device in kiosk mode with Hexnode. I’m trying to use a web app that needs camera access, but it keeps saying permission denied. Anyone else faced this?
Camera access denied for web app in Android kiosk modeSolved

Hey, I had something similar. When I checked the Blocked Packages section for my device, I found the following packages listed:
-
com.android.camera.PermissionsActivity
-
com.android.camera.CameraActivity
I added these as Background Apps in my kiosk policy, and that resolved the issue for me.
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried adding those, but I’m still getting the same error.
Hello everyone, thanks for reaching out.
Alongside adding any blocked packages, please configure the Website Kiosk Settings section of the policy since this is a web app. You can select your preferred browser (e.g., Chrome) under the Another browser option. Ensure the browser is added as a Background App or included in your Multi-App Kiosk configuration. Built-in browser settings can help web apps to access device services like the camera. Alternatively, you can use one of Hexnode’s managed browsers, such as Hexnode Browser Lite or Hexnode Kiosk Browser, which are designed to handle permissions more seamlessly in kiosk environments.
If the issue still persists after adding the browser, do let us know.
