Hi Team,

Is there a way to prevent users from turning off mobile data on managed Android devices?

Our requirement is to ensure that mobile data remains enabled at all times and that users cannot disable it from device settings.

Hi @sloane .

At the moment, it is not possible to force mobile data to remain enabled on Android devices. This is a limitation of the Android OS, and Hexnode cannot override it.

Hi Team,

Following up on this — if we can’t enforce mobile data to stay on, is there a way to ensure all managed devices stay connected to the internet?

Yes, @zayn_nj !

Hexnode allows you to force Wi-Fi on managed devices to help maintain continuous internet connectivity.

Steps:

  1. Login to Hexnode UEM.

  1. Navigate to Policies > Android > Restrictions > Basic > Allow Network Settings.

  1. Enable the Force Wi-Fi option.

Once enabled, this setting prevents users from turning off Wi-Fi, ensuring that devices remain connected to the internet.
