Hey, is there any reason as to why my new devices are not showing up in the Hexnode portal? I used Apple Business Manager to enroll them to my portal, and the ABM integration does not seem to have any issues.
New devices not synced in ADESolved

Did you check thoroughly whether the devices are actually managed by Hexnode? Do the devices show anything to the effect of “This device is managed by Hexnode/your organization”?
@boris , I don’t really see anything to that effect. Is there something I can do from the Hexnode portal?
@merlynn Is there not like a sync option for ADE in Hexnode, so that the devices show up in the portal?
@wilma I am aware of it, but I don’t know where to find it.
Hello @merlynn , to initiate ADE sync within Hexnode portal to reflect all the devices added from Apple Business Manager, please navigate to Admin tab > Apple School/ Business Manager > Automated Device Enrollment. Click on the Sync with ADE button and select Sync all devices. The devices added using ADE will be reflected under Devices here as well as in the Manage tab in the portal.
Regards,
Elle Reed,
Hexnode UEM.
@elle_reed I just initiated sync but the devices did not show up.
@merlynn did you check whether the device has an ADE profile assigned to it?
@boris I did create an ADE profile earlier, but I don’t remember if I assigned it or not. How do we check that out?
@merlynn to check whether the ADE profile is assigned to your ADE account or not, the ADE account must be first modified:
-
Navigate to the Admin tab in your Hexnode portal and click on Apple School/Business Manager > Automated Device Enrollment.
-
Under the Accounts sub tab, click on the Pencil Icon (Edit Button) next to your ADE Account.
-
In the Edit page, make sure the Default Configuration Profile is configured to the ADE profile you created and click Save. The ADE profile will be assigned to the devices under your ADE account.
-
Under the Devices sub tab, the ADE Profile Status will be displayed as Assigned against your device, once the Configuration Profile has been applied.
-
Further, reset the devices from the device side under Settings > Erase All Content and Settings to trigger automated enrollment to Hexnode. The ADE profile settings will then get reflected on your device end.
-
Once the device has been re-configured, the “Remote Management” screen will be shown on it and the device will be reflected in the Hexnode portal under the Manage tab.
That was the problem! I had not assigned the ADE profile I created to the ADE account, and it was still in default, so they were not even getting enrolled in the first place. Now that is all solved. Thanks @elle_reed and @boris and @wilma .
