iOS ADE devices show as Assigned but do not appear under Manage tabSolved

I synced our iOS devices from Apple Business using Automated Device Enrollment. All devices are visible in the ADE section, but not all of them show up under Manage in Hexnode. The missing devices have the profile status set to “Assigned”. Does that mean they are enrolled, or is there another step needed before they appear as managed devices?

Hello @reggie ,

In Automated Device Enrollment, the profile status “Assigned” means the enrollment profile has been associated with the device, but it has not yet been applied on the device. The device will appear under Manage tab only after the ADE enrollment profile is applied and the device completes enrollment into Hexnode UEM.

If the device is already set up, reset the device and go through the Setup Assistant again. During activation, the device should contact Apple, receive the assigned ADE profile, and enroll into Hexnode UEM. Once enrollment is complete, it should move from the ADE list to the managed devices list.

I tried resetting one of the devices but didn’t see it appear immediately under Manage. The profile status still showed as Assigned for a while.

A restart can help if the device has not checked in properly after the profile assignment. In this case, since the ADE profile was already assigned, rebooting the device will trigger it to complete the enrollment flow and the device then appear under Manage tab.

For other devices in the same state, confirm that the ADE profile is assigned, then restart or reset the device and complete the setup process. The status should change once the profile is applied and the device successfully enrolls.
