Hey everyone, we ran into an unexpected issue. Our Android Enterprise account got removed from the Google Admin Console by mistake. Now, all our enrolled devices in Hexnode are kind of “stuck”. Policies aren’t applying, and we can’t push apps. Has anyone else run into this?

Oh yes, we’ve seen something similar before.
The devices appear to be enrolled, but some policies do not apply as expected, and apps won’t install. It’s like they’re partially managed but not fully functional.
Any idea how we can get these devices fully working again?
Hey all! Since the Android Enterprise account was removed from Google Admin Console, Hexnode can’t fully manage the devices anymore.
In this situation, the devices do not immediately drop out of Hexnode, so they continue to appear enrolled. However, some parts of Android Enterprise management rely on active communication with Google services, and those stop working once the account is removed.
Because of this, device management can appear partially functional. You may still see devices and retain some control, but actions that depend on Android Enterprise services, such as Managed Google Play operations, will not work reliably.
To get everything back to a fully working state, the Android Enterprise account needs to be restored or recreated in the Google Admin Console, followed by re-enrolling the affected devices. After that, app management and policy enforcement return to normal.

Ah, that explains it. We were wondering why everything looked fine, but nothing was actually applying.
Got it, thanks for the clarification, @isabel_lora ! So basically, there’s no way to “fix” the devices without going through re-enrollment?
Correct. Without an active Android Enterprise account, Hexnode cannot fully manage Android Enterprise features on the devices. Restoring full control requires re-enrolling the devices after the Android Enterprise account is recreated or restored.
