Hi team, if I wipe a device, will it disconnect the device from Hexnode?

Hey @isaiah ,

Yes, wiping the device will remove the remote management from the device.

Ok, thank you. One more thing to ask, on my iPad I can’t install apps or stop them from updating.

Could you please verify whether the device has enough storage space to install the applications?

Please navigate to Manage tab > Devices, select your device, then go to Device Info > Device Capacity and check the available storage space.

There’s not enough space for updates, and it doesn’t look like there are any apps that can be uninstalled since none show up in the unused apps list on my device.

Got that. Now you’re looking for space and stopping the apps from updating, right?

Yes. There are some apps that can’t install completely, but if I cancel them, they just start auto‑installing again. I need the apps to either finish installing or stop trying altogether.

This issue occurs because the apps are included in the Required Apps list. To resolve it, remove the required app policy from the device. Before removing the policy, navigate to the Policies tab, select the policy, then click Manage > Modify, and ensure that ‘Remove apps from the device on policy removal’ option is unchecked. Otherwise, removing the policy will uninstall all apps added through it. Once the policy is removed, you can uninstall the specific apps you no longer need.

It worked! Now I have space on my device.

Thanks @simon_scott
