Hey everyone, we have several teams operating across different client locations, and we are looking for a way to track their locations with greater accuracy than standard geofencing. Ideally, we’d like to use precise latitude and longitude coordinates instead of drawing broad geofence zones. Is this possible in Hexnode?

Yeah, you can enter the exact latitude and longitude coordinates when configuring a geofence. Both polygon and circle-shaped fences can be defined using coordinates. Super useful when you’re dealing with precise locations, like a single building or warehouse.

Just a quick tip, I recommend extracting exact coordinates from tools like Google Maps or Apple Maps and entering them manually, making sure the values are within valid ranges. I once misplaced a minus sign in one of the coordinates and ended up applying the policy to the wrong country.

I don’t think that is possible, but you can set up alerts for when devices enter or exit a geofence.
