Renew Apple Business Manager ADE server token in Hexnode when enrollment link stops workingSolved

The Automated Device Enrollment connection between Apple Business and Hexnode stopped working for us. It looks like the ADE/DEP server token needs to be renewed. What is the correct way to download the new token from Apple Business and upload it back into Hexnode?

You can renew the Automated Device Enrollment account in Hexnode by downloading a new server token from Apple Business and uploading it to the corresponding ADE account in the Hexnode portal.

  1. Log in to Apple Business.
  2. Navigate to Devices > Management Services.
  3. Under Management Services, select the respective server.
  4. Click on the ellipsis button and select Download Token. A dialogue box stating “Downloading a new server token will reset your existing one” will be displayed. Click Download Token.
  5. Now, in the Hexnode portal, navigate to Admin > Apple Business/School Manager > Automated Device Enrollment > Accounts. Move the cursor to the right end of the account name, an edit button will appear. Click on it.
  6. The “Edit ADE Account” page will now appear. Click on the Choose file button next to Upload Token. Upload the newly downloaded token here. Click Save. This process will extend the ADE validity by a year.
