Remove an iPhone from Hexnode Automated Device EnrollmentSolved

Hi, I’m trying to remove an iPhone from Hexnode, but I can’t find it under Manage > Devices, so I don’t see the Disenroll device action. The device only appears on the Automated Device Enrollment page. Does that mean it is still managed by Hexnode, or is there another way to remove it from ADE?

Hi @josiah,

If the iPhone is not listed under Manage > Devices, it is most likely not actively enrolled in Hexnode. The Disenroll device action is available only for devices that are already enrolled and managed.

When a device appears only on the Automated Device Enrollment page, it usually means the device is assigned to the Hexnode UEM server in Apple Business or Apple School Manager, but has not completed enrollment into Hexnode.

To remove it from the Automated Device Enrollment page:

  1. Navigate to Apple Business or Apple School Manager.
  2. Locate the device and unassign it from the Hexnode UEM server, or assign it to a different MDM server if needed.
  3. Go back to Hexnode UEM portal, and navigate to Apple Business/School Manager under Enroll tab
  4. Under Devices, click on Manage > Sync with ADE.

After the sync completes, the device should no longer appear in the ADE device list in Hexnode.

Unassigned the iPhone in Apple Business and then ran Sync with ADE in Hexnode. It disappeared from the Automated Device Enrollment page after the sync. Thanks!
