Yes, Hexnode can remotely clear the password on supported Android devices, but there are a few requirements.
The device must be:
– Enrolled as Android Enterprise – Device Owner
– Running Android 7.0 or later
– Actively checking in with Hexnode
– Using the Hexnode for Work app with the password token activated at least once
If these conditions are met, you can clear the device password using the following steps:
1. Navigate to the Manage tab.
2. Select the Android device.
3. Click Actions.
4. Select Clear Password.
Once the action is executed, the password is cleared from the device.
If the device is enrolled only as a work profile or profile owner device, the Clear Password action may not be available due to Android Enterprise restrictions.
