Oh yeah, I actually heard about this recently. One of our admins mentioned there’s an option using SCEP for this in Hexnode, but I haven’t really tried setting it up yet. Not fully sure how it works either.

SCEP configuration in Hexnode UEenables automated certificate enrollment for Android devices, allowing them to securely authenticate with enterprise services such as Wi-Fi and VPN.

This can be configured within an Android policy under the Security section by specifying the Certificate Authority details, SCEP server URL, subject information, and other relevant parameters. Once the policy is associated with devices, they will automatically request and receive certificates from the configured CA.

For detailed instructions, please refer to the documentation below:

If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out.

Got it, thanks. I tried pushing the policy, but I don’t see anything happening on the device yet… is that normal?

Yeah, that can happen. It’s not always instant. Sometimes it takes a bit depending on sync and all.

Also, if the CA side is slow or something’s pending, the device just keeps trying in the background. Give it a little time, usually it goes through 👍.
