Hello everyone,
Remote wipe is supported on Macs, but it requires the device to remain connected to the internet. At the login screen, macOS may not always maintain a Wi‑Fi connection unless a system‑level profile has been configured.
To address this limitation, here are some possible workarounds:
- Using Ethernet to keep the Mac online at the login screen.
- Configuring a Wi-Fi policy in Hexnode UEM with auto‑join enabled, so the Mac attempts to connect even when no one is logged in.
Please note that Apple’s security architecture may still block connectivity in certain scenarios, so this does not guarantee success every time.
Let us know if the issue persists, so we can look further into it.
Regards,
Simon Scott
