I would like to see a policy or a report that lets me know when a device stops updating its location data. So i do not have to go thru the painful process of spot checking each device to verify location is working

Hi @mawrigley,

While we don’t currently have a dedicated policy or report that automatically flags inactive location updates, we do have two effective workarounds you can use:

  • Configure an Automated Alert: You can set up the system to notify you when a location fetch fails. On your Hexnode UEM console, navigate to Admin > Alert Profile > New Alert Profile. Set the event source to Device, click Add Event, and select “Failed to fetch device location.” From there, you can choose your targets, assign technicians, and configure how you would like to be notified.
  • Review Location History Reports: You can also monitor tracking activity by going to Reports > Built-in Reports > Location > Location History. This will generate a log of all locations traversed by any device currently associated with a location tracking policy.

Let us know if you need any help setting these up!
