Hey all,

I’m using Hexnode UEM and ran into something odd with kiosk policies. I created a new policy for a different set of devices. The app installs fine and shows up normally, but as soon as the device goes into kiosk mode, it’s not there on the home screen.

Anyone else run into this? Feels like I’m missing something simple.

Did you try adding the app to your existing kiosk lockdown policy?

Yeah, but that’s the problem, this is for a different group of devices, so I can’t really use the same kiosk policy. I did make a new one, just not sure I set it up right.

Ah got it. In kiosk mode it doesn’t matter if the app is installed, it only shows what’s allowed in the kiosk configuration. You have to add it explicitly.

Yep, had the same issue before. Go into the kiosk policy, add the app under allowed apps, then push the policy again. That should fix it.
