Is it possible to bypass the work email requirement so users can easily add their own Play Store and email accounts?Solved

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to set up our Android devices so users can add their personal Google accounts for the Play Store and email. However, every time we try to add an account, the device forces us to enter a work email address before we can move forward.

Is there a way for users to easily add their own personal accounts without needing to use my Hexnode / work credentials every time?

Thanks for raising this question.

When a device is enrolled as an Android Enterprise Device Owner, it is automatically signed into a managed Google Play environment using the work account created during enrollment. This is expected behavior, as it ensures that only the organization-approved apps are available by default.

But with that said, users are not restricted from adding their personal Google accounts as well. The initial prompt for work credentials is part of the device’s setup flow. Once the setup is complete, users can manually add their own accounts by navigating to Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Add Account > Google.

Let us know if you have any more queries.
