I have a few legacy devices in my Hexnode portal that have not checked in for a long time. Since they are no longer active, I want to remove them from the portal. What is the correct way to clear inactive devices that cannot receive commands anymore?

To remove inactive devices from the Hexnode portal, first initiate disenrollment for those devices and then manually mark them as disenrolled if they cannot check in to complete the action.

Steps:

  1. Go to Manage.
  2. Select the inactive devices.
  3. Click the Actions drop-down menu.
  4. Choose Disenroll Device.
  5. After the disenroll action is created, go to Reports.
  6. Open Disenrollment Pending Devices.
  7. Select the same devices.
  8. Click Mark as Disenrolled.

Once the devices are marked as disenrolled, they can be removed from the portal.
