I am looking for a way to monitor app activity on our managed devices. Specifically, I need to see which apps are being used and exactly how much time is being spent on them. How can I access these insights?

Thanks for raising this question! To view app usage insights in Hexnode, navigate to Reports > Built-in Reports > Usage Insights > Device Usage and select Application Usage. This report allows you to track key metrics such as total time spent, launch frequency, and last-used times.
To ensure this data populates correctly, please verify the following:

Policy Deployment: Confirm that the App Usage Management policy has been successfully pushed to the device. You can verify this status in the device’s Actions History sub-tab.

Policy Configuration: Under the Policies tab, ensure the policy is correctly configured for Android devices and that you have specifically added the apps you wish to track for usage access.

Plan Eligibility: Please note that while general reporting is available, the specific App Usage Management policy is a feature of the Ultra plan. If you are currently on the Ultimate plan, this feature will not be active. If you are interested in upgrading to the Ultra plan, please contact our support team.
