How to add another technician account in Hexnode UEMSolved

You can add additional users to the Hexnode UEM portal by inviting them as Technicians and assigning the required role and scope.

Steps:

1. Log in to the Hexnode UEM portal.
2. Go to Admin > Technicians and Roles.
3. Click Add Technician.
4. Enter the user’s name and email address.
5. Proceed to the Assign Profile section.
6. Select the role based on the level of access required.
   • Admin: Full privileges with access to all portal functionalities.
   • Apps and Reports Manager: Access limited strictly to the Apps and Reports features.
   • Reports Manager: Access limited strictly to Reports and the Hexnode UEM Dashboard.
   • Incident Manager: Access limited strictly to Incidents and the Hexnode UEM Dashboard.
   • Read Only Technician: View-only access across all console configurations without modification privileges.
7. Under Scope, choose whether the technician can manage all devices or only selected device groups.
8. Save the configuration to send the invitation.

The invited user will receive an email to complete the account setup and create their password for accessing the portal.

If I only want the new user to manage a certain set of devices, should I create a custom role or just use the scope option? I don’t want them to see everything in the portal.

Use both settings together if you need granular control.

The role decides what actions the technician can perform, such as viewing devices, running actions, managing policies, or accessing reports. The scope decides which devices or device groups those permissions apply to.

For example, if a technician should operate only a specific group of devices, create or use the required device group, assign an appropriate role, and then set the scope to that device group instead of all devices.
