I’m managing a Windows deployment in Hexnode and need to turn off both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct on the devices. I found the Windows policy area, but I’m not sure exactly which restriction settings control these two options. Where should I configure this?

Hi @skylar-a,

You can disable both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct from the Windows device restrictions in the Hexnode policy.

Steps:

  1. Go to Policiesand open the Windows policy assigned to the target devices.
  2. Click Manage > Modify Policy.
  3. Navigate to Windows > Restrictions.
  4. Under the Restrictions, uncheck Bluetooth to disable Bluetooth.
  5. Then go to Advanced > Allow Network Settings.
  6. Uncheck Wi-Fi Direct to disable Wi-Fi Direct.
  7. Click Save.

The updated restrictions will be applied when the devices check in with Hexnode. This typically happens during the next device sync cycle. You can verify whether the policy has reached a device by opening the device entry in Hexnode and checking its Action History.
