Device limit reached while enrolling new devices in HexnodeSolved

I’m trying to enroll new devices in Hexnode, but the enrollment fails with a message saying the device limit has been reached. Where can I check the total device limit for the portal and how many devices are currently enrolled? Also, can inactive devices be removed to make room for new enrollments?

This usually happens when the number of enrolled devices has reached the total number of device licenses available in the portal.

You can verify both counts from the Hexnode portal:

1. To check the total licensed device count, click the profile icon in the top-right corner and go to Billing.

2. To check the current enrolled device count, go to the Home page and review the enrolled device count shown there.

If the enrolled device count is equal to the licensed device count, new enrollments will be blocked until capacity is available.

To proceed, you can either:

– Add more device licenses to the account, or

– Disenroll inactive, retired, or test devices that no longer need management.

After freeing up a license by disenrolling an inactive device, try enrolling the new device again.
