I purchased a paid Android app using a Google account and I want to deploy it to our corporate devices. How can I push this app to my devices using Hexnode?

Hello @ronnie ,
To deploy the app, you first need to add it to your Hexnode UEM app inventory. Once added, you can push it to the devices either by using the Install Application action or by enforcing it via the Required Apps policy.
Once the app is installed on the device, the user must log in with the Google account that was used to make the purchase to access the paid version. For certain applications, after logging in with that account, the user may be prompted on the device screen to complete the payment workflow.

If we sign out of that Google account after installation, will the app still receive updates? Because the google account used to buy the app is our primary admin account, so I can’t let end-users keep using it on their devices.
I don’t think so, for the paid version of app to receive updates, the account should be there. I’m not sure though.
To receive updates for a paid app, the Google Play Store needs to verify the license. If the account is removed, the Play Store cannot verify the purchase, so the app will not receive any software updates.
If you want to prevent your users from using that admin account entirely, you can reach out to the app developer to request a standalone, license-free corporate APK file of the paid version. Once you obtain this file, you can upload it as an Enterprise App directly to your Hexnode app inventory and deploy it to your devices. This bypasses the Play Store license check completely, allowing the app to run and receive version updates directly via Hexnode UEM without requiring an active Google account on the device.
