Android app not installing after successful Hexnode enrollmentSolved

An Android device enrolled successfully in Hexnode, but the app I expected to see on the device never appeared or installed. The enrollment status looks fine, so I assumed the app would be pushed automatically. I also tried checking the device details, but I was not sure where to confirm whether an app install command had actually been sent. Is enrollment supposed to install the app by itself, or does something else need to be configured?

Hi @cullen,

Successful enrollment only confirms that the device is managed by Hexnode. It does not automatically install an app unless an app deployment configuration is applied to the device.

For an Android app to install after enrollment, make sure one of the following is configured:

1. Use the Install Application remote action on the enrolled device.
2. Assign a policy that includes the app as a required app.

You can also verify whether Hexnode attempted the installation from the device’s Action History: Manage > Devices > select the device > Action History.

If there is no app installation action listed, the app was not deployed to the device. In that case, configure the app deployment payload in a policy and assign it to the device or its device group. Once the policy is associated, the app should be pushed to the device.
