Allow Bluetooth access in iOS multi-app kiosk without exposing all SettingsSolved

I’m setting up an iOS device in multi-app kiosk mode and need users to be able to connect freely to Bluetooth accessories. I can add the Settings app, but I don’t want users changing critical device settings. Is there a way in Hexnode to expose only the Bluetooth section inside Settings? Also, can Hexnode customize or set the device passcode while the iOS device is locked down?

In iOS multi-app kiosk mode, iOS does not provide an MDM-supported way to expose only the Bluetooth page while hiding the rest of the Settings app.

The recommended approach is:

  1. Include the Settings app in the multi-app kiosk policy so users can access Bluetooth.
  2. Configure iOS Restrictions in the same policy to lock down sensitive settings.

You can use Basic Restrictions and Advanced Restrictions to prevent changes such as:

  • Modifying accounts
  • Erasing all content and settings
  • Modifying the passcode
  • Changing cellular data settings
  • Changing the device name
  • Modifying diagnostics-related settings

This allows users to open Settings for Bluetooth pairing while keeping critical system configuration options restricted.
