How to remove a policy from enrolled devices in Hexnode without disenrollingSolved

A few enrolled devices are having feature issues after a policy was applied. I want them to work without those restrictions, but I don’t necessarily want to disconnect them from Hexnode completely.

Would using Device Control > Disenroll remove the restrictions, or is there a better way to remove only the policy from selected devices? I also had trouble finding the Policy sub-tab on the device page.

Hi @grace_t ,

If the issue is caused by restrictions or configurations applied through a policy, you do not need to disenroll the device. Disenrolling removes the device from Hexnode UEM management, while removing the policy only revokes the configurations associated with that policy.

To remove a policy from a specific enrolled device:

  1. Go to Manage > Devices.
  2. Select the affected device.
  3. Open the Policy sub-tab on the device details page.
  4. Find the policy that is applied to the device.
  5. Click the trash icon next to the policy to remove it from that device.

After the policy is removed, the restrictions configured through that policy will no longer be applied to the device.
