Do Macs below macOS 11.5 need action for upcoming Hexnode app updates?Solved

We received a notice that newer Hexnode app versions will no longer support Macs running macOS versions below 11.5. The apps mentioned were Hexnode UEM 19.0.0, Hexnode Remote Assist 9.0.0, Hexnode Gateway 5.0.3, and Hexnode Agent 26.0.6.

We only have a few enrolled iMacs, and I think the oldest one is on macOS 12.7. Do we need to do anything from our side before these updates roll out? Also, what happens if one of the Macs is actually below macOS 11.5?

Hello @laura123 ,

If your enrolled Macs are already running macOS 11.5 or later, no action is required. Devices on macOS 12.7 are above the minimum requirement and will continue to receive upcoming Hexnode app updates and new feature releases as usual.

For any Mac running below macOS 11.5, the recommended action depends on whether you need new Hexnode app features:

  • To continue receiving regular Hexnode app updates and new features, update the device to macOS 11.5 or later.
  • If the device must remain on an older macOS version, it can continue using the currently supported Hexnode app version.

Core device management capabilities are not expected to stop because of this change. Older macOS devices below 11.5 will continue to receive critical bug fixes and security patches, but they will be excluded from regular app updates and feature releases.
