Allow Microsoft Authenticator pop-ups in Android Multi-App KioskSolved

We have Android devices running Multi-App Kiosk in Hexnode. The kiosk includes a few web apps that use Microsoft SSO, and users need to approve the sign-in through Microsoft Authenticator.

The problem is that the Authenticator prompt/popup does not seem to come through properly while the device is locked into kiosk. We have entra conditional access too. Is there a way to allow the Microsoft Authenticator authentication popup without adding the Authenticator icon to the kiosk?

Hello @eliiza ,

Yes. For Android Multi-App Kiosk, add Microsoft Authenticator as a background app in the kiosk policy.

Go to: Policies > [Select your kiosk policy] > Android Kiosk Lockdown > Background Apps

Then add Microsoft Authenticator.

If your Microsoft Entra conditional access flow requires Microsoft Intune Company Portal, add Company Portal as a background app as well.

Background apps can run and display required authentication prompts over the kiosk web app, but they will not appear as app icons on the kiosk launcher. This lets the Microsoft SSO/Authenticator prompt work while keeping the kiosk interface restricted.
